Interspecific relationships exits between different species. These relationships can be either beneficial to the species or detrimental to one or both of the species.
Beneficial
Fruit and berry bushes need natural fertiliser to grow. Animals waste can help to produce this natural fertiliser. If the plants grow then the animals can also get food. This relationship is beneficial to both the plant and the animals as one gets the nutrients and fertiliser to grow, and the other gets food to eat.
Detrimental
In Plitvice Lakes brown bears and fish are an example of a detrimental relationship. The bears stand above a small waterfall and wait for the fish to jump up, or they stand in the water and grab the fish. Because the bear is so fast and definite with its actions the fish have a small chance of getting away. Therefore this is detrimental relationship.
