Intraspecific relationships exits between animals of the same species.
Collaboration
In Plitvice Lakes wolves hunt in packs. This represents a collaboration as they all work together to catch their prey, and then they share it amongst the whole pack. Each wolf; cubs, females, and males, each get a share in the kill. This makes them a collaborative animal.
Competition
An example of competition between species at Plitvice, is male deer fighting for mates. If to male deer are looking for a mate, they will use their antlers to smash into the other deer. They will usually challenge other male deer by grunting and kicking the ground. If neither buck backs down, they will charge each other with their antlers first, knocking into each other.
Breeding
An example of breeding is bald eagles. Bald eagles normally lay two or three eggs. The eggs are incubated for about 35 days and depending on the location, the eggs are laid in the winter or spring. Once the young have hatched the male and the female help to raise them together.
Bald eagles are solitary, but faithful animals. Although they spend winters and migrations alone, bald eagles maintain the same breeding pair each year. A bald eagle pair finds a nesting site and produces offspring in the same place each year. If one of the pair dies, the surviving bald eagle will look for a new mate in the next breeding season.
